The Texas bugs creep me out now, I cannot imagine living in Texas in a soddy or even a simple wooden house with no pest control. Or plumbing. And an outdoor toilet. Blech.
It was a really gorgeous day -- mid 80s, low humidity -- perfect.
Despite the morning from, well you know, Megan had a great time with our friends and was very good for the trip (oh, another one to the Arboretum, sorry).
Abby seemed quite content to be a pioneer girl. She didn't want to get out of the wagon . . .
Tried to take a nap in the sod house . . .
Loved exploring of course . . .
And even tried her hand at some cooking (no fire, just dirty water and leaves in the pot).
It's just one more reason to be grateful that I live in THIS time. I think I would forever be chasing this girl out of danger because of her curiosity.
And oh yes, Megan got her face painted as a kitty cat again. Purple this time. But not surprising. I think we're running out of colors . . .
